" Topping my list of why I enjoy living at The Forest is... no mowing of grass, no shoveling of snow and no cleaning of gutters. This is closely followed by the peace and serenity we enjoy. Living here makes you feel like you're 10 miles from the nearest civilization when, in fact, you're less than 10 blocks from Michiana's premier shopping and dining locations as well as banks, healthcare, etc., etc." "My association with The Forest started 3 years ago when I began dealing with the sales staff. I found them to be knowledgeable and professional at all times. They were and continue to be a real pleasure to work with. They did what they said they were going to do when they said they would do it. My home is of quality construction with a great floor plan. It draws compliments from those who have visited." "After living here 2 years, I am more convinced each day that I made a great decision and would recommend The Forest." - Dan Prickett
" The tranquility - the sense that you are away from the business of life - yet in reality you are at the center of everything including shops, restaurants, schools, churches. I love the serenity that seems to be built into the homes themselves." "The sales office made each step in building our home a pleasant experience. They were knowledgeable and very helpful. If ever a question arose that they could not answer, they would find the answer and get back to us in a timely manner." "The community itself is lovely to the eye. The yards themselves are maintained beautifully with a harmony to the neighborhood without looking like each home was made with a cookie cutter." "As fall approaches and then winter I am grateful for the maintenance free yards and walks and driveways. No leaf raking or bagging, no snow to shovel are definite plusses in our opinion." - Bob McDonough
" I am currently in the process of building a home in The Forest -- from more than 1,000 miles away! I am excited about moving to the community itself. The first time I drove through and took a look around, I knew it was the place where I wanted to build my retirement home. The home building process has gone very smoothly -- even considering the fact that I live in Colorado! Kim Cowham and Lynne Craig have been extremely helpful in assisting me with all of the aspects of building a new home and with making all of the various selections. When I came to Indiana to make my selections, Kim told me she would "set aside a day" out of her schedule to help me expedite the process, and that is exactly what happened. I could not have "hand picked" two more helpful, friendly and cooperative ladies to work with than Kim and Lynne." - Elizabeth A. Overmyer
" Its trees and ponds provide a graceful, peaceful, quiet setting for our home. We can walk its streets comfortably and safely as traffic is almost non-existent except on the one street that accesses The Forest for all of us. We can sit on our deck next to our pond and listen to the rush of water from the waterfall close by. The neighbors are friendly buy provide space when desired. It's a pleasure to have no grass to cut or snow to shovel. We moved in fifteen months ago from a large home we loved while raising five children -- and have never looked back! We are delighted to live here." - Denise and Chuck Roemer
" From the minute we drove into The Forest we felt like we were driving into paradise. It was as if we were heading to a vacation home up in Northern Michigan.... and yet, we were still close and available to merchants, medical centers, and our family and friends without the drive. We were embraced and protected by the beautiful trees and lakes and the peace and quiet of the area. It is stunning in all of the seasons, and particularly beautiful in winter. I have lived in South Bend all my life and had never been in this area. We feel so blessed to have the opportunity to live in such a beautiful oasis." "When we first came into this home, the first thing I said was "this looks just like me!" We had built our other home 34 years ago and in those days homes were built like forts. The windows in the villa took my breath away. We both felt as though we were living outside with the rest of nature. There wasn't a person in all of our dealings, either who worked on the house or assisted us in closing on the contract that wasn't just great to us. Since we had 50 trees at our other home, we hated to see Fall come. But now we have such a comfort and an ease knowing that we don't have to rake, fertilize, snowplow, and really don't have to worry about anything. At first, our adult children were really sad we were leaving our old home... until they came here. We all love it now." - Carol and Bob Loeffler
